We are a few months into our renovation programme at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club, just outside of London. The first phase of works which started in December and will end in March involves the construction of 33 new bunkers, lake walling works, pouring of cart paths and the installation of a new Toro irrigation system.

The works are being carried out by:

Profusion Environmental:- Construction of bunkers, Blinder liner and all golf features.

AT Bone:- Cart paths and lake walling.

Lakes and Greens:- Irrigation installation.

Some photos below show progress of completed works and were taken 4th February 2016.

Course Manager, Andy Ewence and his team are onboard as well helping out with some finishing works and generally making the project all come together.

A central bunker on hole 18 with more fairway to right will mean increased strategy for the tee shot.

It is a pleasure for us to first be involved with the redesign of this fantastic golf course, then now to see it come to fruition during construction is a real thrill.

Part of our brief was to reduce the size of the bunkering. This new bunker on the 1st still has some plenty of punch but more than half the size.

The left hand landing zone on hole 8 should be more enticing now with increased landing area. Hopefully the ultimate risk/ reward hole.

We look forward to completing phase one of the project this winter with the remaining works completed next winter. It will be a real pleasure seeing the members, guests and Ladies European Tour enjoy our revisions to the course.
