The annual TPL golf day had a new home this year, at Woking Golf Club in Surrey, where the firm has recently built a new hole to replace the existing sixteenth. The event, held in July after the Open Championship, was again supported by Rocco Forte Hotels, who offered a stay at the Verdura golf resort in Sicily to the winner.
Mark Ganning of irrigation manufacturer Hunter Industries took the prize with 39 points on a glorious sunny day. “I had an eye on the prize myself, but I know if I had won there would have been a fair bit of complaining, so congratulations to Mark,” said Tim Lobb. “We must also thank Kim Brake and the staff of Woking GC for taking such good care of us, especially course manager Jon Day, who had the place in tip-top shape.”
