Wimbledon Park GC’s, Course Manager David Langheim and TPL’s Tim Lobb spentĀ a summers evening walking around the golf course looking at our collective works and remembering our successes as well as a couple of things needing consideration. A golf course is constantly evolving as well as the need for ongoing review.

Our initial design work started at the Club in 2009 with construction ongoing over the following winters. Profusion Environmental were the main contractors and the club and TPL decided to use the new product Blinder Liner in all the bunkers to be renovated.

Visiting the Club again reminded Tim of how incredibly well maintained the golf course is. It is about as close to perfection as you could find anywhere. Well done to David Langheim and all the team.

We undertook quite a dramatic transformation to the second green complex. Looking good 5 years later.

So some of the lesson learnt:

- Any successful renovation project requires a design that is appropriate for the club.

- Nothing beats construction that is done correctly the first time.

- The maintenance team and membership supporting the design concept is critical.

Thanks to the Club for their support over the years and we trust the members enjoy the course conditions and strategic challenge.

Wishing the club all the success for the next 5 years and beyond
