Following on from the success of our Carya Golf Club in Belek, Turkey, owner Fikret Öztürk of Regnum has commenced with another new and exciting golf course development in Turkey with us, this time in the glorious harbour and upmarket town of Bodrum.

The site is just inland from the stunning coastline and we are working alongside our friends at Golf Tek (Naki Evrandir and Cengizhan Bölükbaşı) to design and build a memorable golfing experience that will be something very different for the now mature Turkish golfing market. The site which is quite hilly, rocky and part of an existing olive grove will be the backdrop for our par 71, 6200m course.

Earthworks in the rocky conditions has been tough but the results are shining through.

As the site is very rocky we have decided to do minimal bunkering on the course and use the olive trees and contours to form part of the golfing strategy. In fact once opened the olive grove within the golf course will continue to be a commercial venture for the local farmers.

Earthworks have been ongoing and now we are preparing holes 13, 14 and 15 for grassing in the summer. Holes 16, 17 and 18 are to following on quickly.
